The PST files stores Calendar, e-mail, notes, Journal entries and tasks on local window workstations. - PST files are very disreputable for corruption
In Outlook 2002 and earlier versions, if you store more than 2 GB of PST files, then they automatically deletes and data loss may occur. Luckily there is an option that you can manually archive your PST files on your hard drive. You can archive Outlook files by following these three steps –
- In My Documents, create a folder called E-mail.
- While inside that folder you just created, create subfolders for every folder you have created in Outlook beneath your inbox.
- Within those subfolders, create monthly or quarterly folders within which you place copies of every e-mail you store in Microsoft Outlook.
Simply highlight the selection and drag them into the respective folder where you want them archived.
By using this method, you can overcome to the problem of limited storage size of PST files. In these archive folders, you can store much data as you want. In this way, you can solve the storage size problem of PST files. But what happen when data corruption occurs? What should you do?
